Review of nGroove Snap 3 by Mountek
Let’s face it… we are attached to our phones and other electronic devices. For many of us they have replaced CD players, DVD players, TVs, navigation systems and just about everything else. Right at our fingertips is access to just about any information we could possibly want to know. We are long past the days of not using our phones while driving. With the simple touch of a few buttons (or voice commands) we can order take out, get directions, and listen to a playlist of all our favorite songs as we drive.
Our phones are important to us and for that reason we don’t want them sliding all over the place as we try to drive. We want access to the control of the screen without having to balance our phone on our leg, while trying to keep our eyes on the road. Mountek has released their newest product, nGroove Snap 3, to solve our dilemma.
The nGroove Snap 3 could not be any easier to install into your car. You mount it by inserting it into your car’s CD player or into any of the groves in the dashboard. Once you have inserted the mount you turn a tighten screw with your fingers a few times and you are ready to go. The mount is actually on a ball joint adapter, which makes it very easy to adjust the angle of your screen while you are driving to get the best view.
Once your mount is installed in your car all you need to do is simply attach one of the metal plates to the back of your phone. The mount installed in your car has a magnetic face and the metal plate on your phone simply snaps right on. It takes a second to attach when you get in the car and a second to pull off when you are getting out. This is a great mount for couples or families that are sharing a car or if you want the ability to use multiple devices in your car. All you need to do is attach one of the metal plates to the back of each device and you can easily switch from one to the other.
While Mountek states that if you attach the large metal plate to the back of a phone the magnet will securely hold it even when the metal plate is underneath a cover. Many reviews online indicate that this only works depending on the thickness of your case. According to online reviews it is best if you have a pretty thick case to attach the metal plate to the back of your case instead of your actual phone. The magnets are strong and do a great job of keeping your device secure during normal use.
The nGroove Snap 3 is versatile and is able to be used not only as a car mount, but will also attach to a tripod, clip to a laptop monitor or convert to a desktop stand. One of the best features is that there is no glue, no adhesive, no suction cups, and no screws needed to attach the mount to your car thanks to Mountek’s patented blade-support system.
The nGroove Snap 3 is a great, no-fuss option to easily stay connected and use your device while on the go.
